Famous Book Quote

"I'll think of it all tomorrow, at Tara. I can stand it then. Tomorrow, I'll think of someway to get him back. After all, tomorrow is another day." Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

My Inspiring Photo

Bright, Bold, Excitement.
People all around,
Dancing and singing along.
Lights and Lasers galore.
Sexy, Slow, then Fun.
I had the time of my life.

Even with the protesters,
Nothing could have stopped us from enjoying ourselves.
Being with family and friends at this milestone was perfection.
Although my friend almost passed-out, she had fun.
Although my cousin was short, she had fun.
Although a huge guy was in front of us, we had fun.

Energies were high and screams were loud.
We cheered, laughed and were in Ahh.
The band, the dancers, and of course... Him.
It was exhilarating to be in his presence.
O how I would love to relive the memory again.

Guitar = Music

The guitar represents my love for music. Music is a very big thing in my life. My parents always listened to rock music, so I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, etc. I also liked listening to Disney music because i always watched Disney movies. My mom also liked some other kinds of music. She also liked Michael Jackson, John Mayer, and Sheryl Crow. One thing she told me was when she would work out to Michael Jackson music, I would start dancing to it.

My taste in music has evolved over the years. I remember listening to Disney music. But when I got older I started listening to pop music. This was when NSYNC, Britiney Spears, and Jesse McCartney were really big. Some of my first CDs were Jessica & Ashlee Simpson and Kelly Clarkson. My parents always tried to get me into classic rock, but when I was 8-11 years old I didn't care for it. It was just a few years ago that I really started to listen to some rock music. I listened to Queen, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, etc. I was shocked that i really liked it. It was a bigger shock when my parents first heard me talking about it. They also bragged that I was missing out on some great music. Now I listen to rock, pop, alternative, hip-hop, electronic, and others. I like the fact that I like listening to different styles of music and I get different reactions out of all of them.

Reading & Me

When I read, the one thing I like is to listen to music. I hate being in complete silence so I like to listen to my "Readers" playlist on my IPod. The music is slow and calming, so I don't get to distracted.

I mostly like to read fantasy books. A lot of my favorite books are fantasy: Twilight, Wicked, Harry Potter, etc. I like going into other worlds or situations that could never happen. Imagining that there real makes it all the more fun to read.

One book that "made me want to turn the page" was Twilight. I did start reading the series because people kept talking about them. When I started reading it, I was fascinated with the characters. I did wish I was Bella in the story. Towards the end of the book, the action got so much better that I felt the suspense. I really liked that book and I might read it again someday.

Some of my favorite books growing up was "Stella Luna" and "Verdi" both by Janell Cannon. I liked these books because I felt like they related to me. In "Stella Luna" a bat is trying to find out where she belongs. It takes some time but she finds her kind. I felt that I didn't belong until I met some of my close friends, I felt a lot like her. In "Verdi" a yellow snake starts to green and it scares him. He doesn't want to be thought of as strange or different. He tries everything to stop the green from coming, but soon he is completely green. He realizes that he has to accept himself as he is. I went through times where I felt different and was scared to show it off. Now I like who I am and I don't mind being different. I felt a lot like him.

"Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" is my favorite book. I liked it because they were characters I knew from the Wizard of Oz taken into a new perspective. I loved Elphaba (Witch of the West.) She reminded me a lot of myself. She felt out of place because she looked and acted different then everyone else. The romance and the suspense together made a great book. A Must Read!

I Am...

Red headed, tall, 17 years old

Friendly, talkative then shy

An only child

An actor, singer, writer, dancer, designer, baker, drawer

A lover of movies, music, tv, clothes/makeup, candy/sweets

A hater of ignorant, close-minded people, hatred towards people, bugs, and clowns

A believer in myself, family, and friends

Myself

Meaningful Lyrics

"Does it scare you that I can be something different than you
Would it make you feel more comfortable if I wasn't
Well you can't control me
And you can't take away from me who I am." - Quasimodo (Lifehouse)

"Had my dreams held up
Had them shot full of holes." - Won't Feel a Thing (The Script)

"This is to New York City angels
And the rivers of our blood.
This is to All of Us
To All of Us." - Angels on the Moon (Thriving Ivory)

"I was hung from the tree made of tongues of the weak
The branches, the bones of the liars and thieves.
Rise up above it, High up above it." - Night of the Hunter (30 Seconds to Mars)

"Everywhere we go were looking for the sun
No where to grow old were always on the run
They say we'll rot in hell but I don't think we will
They've branded us enough
Outlaws of Love." - Outlaws of Love (Adam Lambert)

"And I don't want the world to see me
Cuz I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am." - Iris (Goo Goo Dolls)

My Opinion on Maya Angelou's Philosophies

I agree that writing can be hard. Even for experienced writers, inspiration can be hard to com by. When ever I write sometimes things come to me easily, then other times I have to think about it. When I'm writing songs or screenplays, I always want to be in the mood the piece is about. If I write in a mood the piece is about. If I write in a mood that's not compatible I won't write my best work.

I think dreams can show us things that we don't expect. They can take you to places you want to go to or show you things you've seen. I've even heard of dreams that can show you the future or can heal you. Dreams can show us so much it's hard to explain sometimes. The dream I talked about in my last blog about the staircase was  very revealing for me because it showed me how much I wanted to find my own utopia, a place where no one could find me or judge me. http://rhianaisadreamer.blogspot.com/2012/04/i-am-dreamer.html?showComment=1333482189956#c5065435818447727721

Although I wouldn't go to the extreme of staying silent for 5 years, I have been through things that effected my personality. I had a very traumatizing experience when I was 5 or 6 years old that really changed me. I don't always like to talk about it because it was scary and it could have ended to something terrible. After it happened I couldn't trust people the same way I did before. Even when I was around acquaintances and family members, I felt uncomfortable around them. I also became very, very shy. I would talk to anyone unless I knew them or if I was approached. I liked keeping to myself and being in my own bubble. When I look back on that day and every other one since then, I think I've grown into the real me. I now am very talkative and I like meeting new people. I actually think that event had to happen so I could be locked away to find myself. If that didn't happen, I don't know if I would the same as I am now. Weither if that's better or worse I'll never know.

I Love Languages. I like that you can learn about other cultures through them. I would like to learn certain languages some day. French, German, and Italian are some i would like to learn. I am currently taking French classes here at school. I like French because it is a very beautiful language and it's very romantic. That is also the same way I feel about Italian. German would be spacial for me because I'm part German; it's part of my culture. I know some German words and phrases and I've seen German films. It seems to be a difficult vocabulary and sound, but I really want to learn. I am thankful to have learned English first because everyone says that it's the hardest language to learn. I hope one day to know how to speak these languages fluently, that would be awesome.

I Am a Dreamer

I dream everyday. Day or Night, anything can come to me. Because of this I've had a couple of odd dreams and nightmares. Most of them involve places I've been or things I've seen. Also many of them are very detailed and elaborate. I could tell you certain colors and features that were in my dream. these are some dreams that I remember the most.

  • A Giant wicker staircase that is stories tall. It can be weak so I'm scared to climb it. I see someone trying to get to the top and I go after them. i felt like I had to protect something. Every once in a while the staircase will sway side to side. As we get towards the top, the case gets very steep. It almost felt like climbing. The other person trips and starts to fall down. I finally reach the top and it's a little resting area. Pillows, stuffed animals, and pictures on the walls. it felt like home.

(I know this isn't a wicker staircase, but it was the best I could find.)

I think this dream is saying I want to always feel safe and comfortable. Also a place where I can be free and be myself and not be judged by anyone.

  • I'm laying down in my hearth room when I feel like I'm not alone. I look out the window and I see Michael Myers standing on my porch. I am scared. I slowly start to stand and walk over the door, never taking an eye off him. We stare at each other for a long time. I reach for my phone and he starts to walk away. Stunned I run and open the door. When I do he stops. He slowly turns around and starts to speed walk towards me. I am Panicked. I lock the door and run to my parent's room. I hide behind their arm chair couch in the corner.

Michael Myers always freaked me out, but I did watch a lot of the Halloween movies. So the fact I had this nightmare doesn't surprise me.
